WebJun 28, 2024 · As stated in the title the laptop turns off (completely cuts out) when pressure placed on the palm rest. More specifically there is one point on the top right of the track pad - maybe 1cm to the right and up - that will cut out the laptop. Its definitely killing the machine as when i reboot it goes to Windows 10 recovery. I live in warmer and damp climate but I still think this shouldn´t happen to the Top-Range of Dell. I have tried various ways to clean it and brought it even to a shop.
